About the Event
The Charles V. Johnson Youth & Law Forum is a fun, interactive and free community legal education program for teens and pre-teens, parents and guardians. It is offered annually to youth from all ethnic and diverse backgrounds. The Charles V. Johnson Youth & Law Forum is an annual event first organized in 1990 by members of First AME Church. Featured speakers: Judge Helen Whitener of Pierce County Superior Court and Co-chair of the Minority and Justice Commission; Dean Mario Barnes of the University of Washington School of Law; Dean Annette Clark of the Seattle University School of Law; and Seattle Police Department Chief Carmen Best. This year's theme is "Poetic Justice and the Law: Seeking and Speaking Your Truth!"
