Tax Principal
Job Description:
The law firm of Foster Garvey PC is seeking an experienced tax attorney to join its tax practice in the Portland office, which works on significant projects in a collaborative manner. This position will provide the attorney with a full-service bi-coastal platform to attract and grow a book of business, as well as the opportunity to provide hands-on day-to-day close counseling of the firm’s existing clients on state and federal income tax matters, including, structuring sophisticated transactions in a wide variety of industry sectors.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in federal, state, and local tax matters, including corporate, partnership and individual taxation. They should be an excellent writer with strong analytic ability, have a willingness to work, and have the ability to interface with clients.
Requirements:
- LL.M. in Taxation
- 5-12 years of income tax experience
- Partial book of business is a plus
