Expedia Group is seeking a highly motivated team player to join as a Global Procurement and Real Estate Paralegal. The Global Procurement and Real Estate legal team is responsible for Expedia Group’s vendor contracts across all regions and categories of Procurement (Marketing, Technology, Professional Services, Corporate Services and Real Estate) and for all Expedia Group Real Estate portfolio. The team works in close partnership with Expedia Group Strategic Sourcing, Sourcing Operations and Real Estate functions. The position is based at Expedia’s Seattle campus reporting into the Senior Corporate Counsel in London. What you’ll do:
- Comprehensive support of the legal procurement and real estate team on all general matters
- Assist with drafting, review and negotiation of a wide variety of simple vendor contracts, amendments and terminations
- Assist with review of simple commercial property leases and facilities related contracts
- Attend negotiations with the business and third party vendors
- Responsible for triage of the procurement contract intake mailbox
- Develop effective engagement model with the Sourcing Operations function and act as their primary point of contact for contract queries
- Manage training schedule for Procurement and Real Estate
- Maintain Legal intranet for Procurement and Real Estate
- Maintain current knowledge of laws in the commercial contract space
Who you are:
- Minimum of 3+ years law firm or in-house experience performing legal review of commercial contracts
- Experience working with Procurement and/or Real Estate functions is a plus
- Strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships
- Quick learner, thrive in a team environment and look for opportunities to take initiative
- Strong organizational skills with superb attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities and be flexible with change
- Bachelor's degree, Paralegal studies degree /certificate or experience with a top international law firm
