Experienced Labor & Employment Attorney
The law firm of Foster Garvey PC is seeking an employment attorney with 10 years or more experience to join its collaborative and busy Labor and Employment group. The successful candidate must have experience leading employment litigation, including taking cases to trial. Although litigation skills and experience are paramount, this person should also have the ability and desire to be a well-rounded employment attorney who handles both litigation and counseling work. The group’s needs largely are in the employment realm, but there are also opportunities for traditional labor work in the form of labor arbitration and administrative actions.
The successful candidate will have experience in leading a team (including associates, paralegals, and support staff) through all aspects of employment litigation, including trial. As such, the candidate must be highly proficient in all aspects of employment litigation, including investigating claims, written discovery, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, preparing for trial, and trial. Appellate experience is not required.
The successful candidate will also have experience in providing practical advice to employers on a wide range of employment issues, such as leaves, separations, and wage and hour issues.
Candidates based in Seattle, WA will be considered.
