The Deputy Director of the Office of Investigative and Legal Services (OILS) manages the legal services provided to the division of Health Systems Quality Assurance. Services provided by OILS are essential to the regulation of over 80 healthcare professions and over 30 types of facilities. Reporting to the Director of the Office of Investigative and Legal Services, this position supervises four Supervising Staff Attorneys, who directly oversee the work of eighteen Staff Attorneys.
The management objective is to assure patient safety, public health and the quality of health care services and appropriate access to health care services regulated for everyone in the state of Washington. This position supports the Department’s mission to protect and improve the health of the state of Washington by providing professional and technical expertise delivering enhanced legal services and providing strong leadership in areas of complex legal adjudication.
